As an agent who rarely had the opportunity to leave on real missions, Walt knew a good number of agents from his division after working for SHIELD for a couple of years. So, naturally, when he passed by a rather miserable-looking woman with an unfamiliar face (or not-so-unfamiliar, he would later find out), he felt rather… amiss. He stopped halfway between taking a step passed her doorway before he managed to sort-of introduce himself.

“I’m sorry,” he said with a laugh and an intrigued cocking of his head. “Are you new here?”

“Oh, hey there Walt,” Fry exclaimed as she lifted her head from her desk to give him an odd half-smile.

Fry wondered if the man recognized her even in the slightest, though she figured it wouldn’t be easy. She was shorter than her male self and well, she currently had breasts, amongst almost a laundry list of other vast difference. The only thing that was really the same was her brain, her knowledge and her ability. The exterior was all new and to some, maybe even improved, but let’s not dwell on that part of the notion, shall we?

"Wait, we know each other?" Walt felt something was amiss; in spite of the memory that was erased, the one he kept otherwise ran rather well, and he rarely forgot faces. "Um…no, don’t help me. Gertrude? Bernice? Maybe Helga? Yeah, I think you look like a Helga. Hi, Helga."

“I…” Fry began, “Have no idea what the hell to do with myself right now…”

She flopped against one of the desks in the Psi-Division Office of SHIELD, muttering something about how inconvenient this was for her, and during this time period of all times in her life. For it to have happened when it was Psych Evals? And just after she finally accepted being recruited? She sighed heavily before sitting up in her chair and looking at the paperwork she’d been casually putting off since she’d joined SHIELD.

One day, paperwork,” she muttered softly to herself, “One day you will be finished and Director Fury won’t have a reason to slaughter me.”

“I like J’Fry better. It’s sassier.”

“You are a strange man indeed, Walt…”

“I might give that one a go some time, see how it sounds over time.”

"I really think it will increase your popularity within—" He paused for a moment. "Wait, who is this? WAIT, WHEN DID YOU BECOME SO YOUNG, J’FRY?"

“So is it pronounced like J’Fry?”

“Still Jeh-free in pronunciation.”

“What she said…”

"I like J’Fry better. It’s sassier."
